Thanks to EoW, scout deck get big boost, so I started test of this deck with my friend. Scouts big advantage is that almost all of them has useful battle ability. However, they are mostly naked 4F personalities, so the die fast and easily. Meeting yojimbos with their Melee-stronghold and lot of other kill actions is hard experience. If I do not have (new) sneak in 3rd turn attack I cannot take a province because one of 2 personalities is dead. Phoenix stronghold is even worse then Scorpion because with precision, their melee is 4 and still kills my guys. Gozu follower is the only attachment I play currently, and I find it as a very good shield (especially with ryoshun guidance). How to protect personalities? What do you think of using vigilant riders and ashigaru recruits?

I don't know what to tell you at this point. I know I'm going to be toying with a couple of builds for both tactician and scout using attachments. Right now I'm looking at trying a follower theme using the ashigaru's and a theme using cheap items. I may post it in a few once I've sketched it out some.

two options: 1. run attachments. all of the problems you mentioned above are mitigated by having a follower attached. run low market if you want to make it even easier. 2. run more scouts than they can deal with. we have tons of boxable scouts. buy extra gold early (turns 1 and 2) and then flood the board with bodies. if you're trading bodies back and forth 1 for 1 you should win that war of attrition by virtue of sheer numbers. actually option three exists too: 3. don't play scouts if you can't deal with your guys dying left and right, switch to paragons and pray inexorable doesn't make it into too many decks

Quote: 3. don't play scouts if you can't deal with your guys dying left and right, switch to paragons and pray inexorable doesn't make it into too many decks I get bored with paragons = i get bored with having lot of negations to protect mostly blank personalities - EoW give paragons ... another blank, and one very expensive, but average cavalry daimyo. Fate is cool, but it ends fast (usually after one good battle), and then you do nothing. I would like to get back to deck where personalities actually do something – that’s why I took scouts for tests.

You can definitely play a deck where everyone has a Battle action, eg:
3x Tsukasa 3x Shinju 3x Yamahatsu 3x Tsuruchi Yashiro 3x Koyama 3x Arata 3x Kaido 1x Shika etc
... which leaves bit more room in the fate for followers without battle actions. And there's a certain synergy between the Scouts' Ranged Attacks and the Paragons' and Kaido's force reduction.

I've been testing EoW scouts lately using Nakanu technique, chugo seido and double guidance. Brother's in Battle has also been very helpful early to take a province and prevent their range 4s
I'm playing this deck very similar to how CC was played in Celestial. First few turns focus on getting a ton of gold for province clearing and At Any Cost. Focus heavily on getting into 4 personality battles.
Flooded Pass is a very strong action early game so you losing bodies early won't be an issue.

I'd go for hiruma snipers, hiromi's vassals, village raiders, murderous thieves and ikoma house guard. Tsuruchi Daikyu and Warfans are always there too.

i run the fans, ashigaru twins and its good enought. Maybe adding village guardian too, the card draw in that deck is insane.

It's an option, but I do prefer to pile battle actions on my items, leaving the draw engine on the box/holdings. But yep, guardians and fans are nice additions to any deck.

In Scouts, I am considering:
Satoshi's Dual Warfans Flesh Cutter Arrows Ashigaru Recruits Gift Armor
The problem is that our scouts tend to be 4F, so the force on attachments will not especially matter in pushing them over province crushing strength. Thus, Gift Armor is only on the table because it's good at not getting broken.

I have made a Tactiscout deck with proxies from the new set. Played it a few times and it is brutal so far in testing. Ill post it if anyones interested. It uses some attatchments and its quick...
