I have put together a pretty nice Honor Runner that is based off of defending in the attack phases to gain the most honor. It works well in my meta, but I'm curious how strong the bigger picture of dishonor is. Any input from those of you who have been in tournaments or know about the current slate of dishonor please let me know. I know dishonor is very fashionable these days, and I haven't played in 5 years till after this past GenCon.

Our testing shows dishonor as one of the stronger deck types at the moment so I think it will be around a bit. My honor runner never won a game against the dishonor deck we are testing against, they all went to time (or if I tried to attack I lost)

Is there any way to post that dishonor deck so we can build it to play test against it. I went to time against a scorpion dishonor from celestial but have since improved it. Also what r the. Current rules of going to time at a kotei

you'll have to run military against it, but you should at least have a shot. dishonor's loses will ramp up through the game and your gains will not (at least not without going to battle) but if you buy lots of gold early and buy people for full every turn, you should hit a critical mass of bodies to give you at least of shot of getting all his provinces down the turn you go under -20. if you can get 2-3 provinces before they put you under you'll have a real good shot at winning. it may be a matter of running meta to get the matchup to a percentage you're happy with, but unless your deck is highly reliant on like... super low force guys, you should be ok.
as far as i know the rules for going to time haven't changed. 45 minute rounds, when time is called you have five minutes to determine a winner, if a winner is not chosen then the result of the game is a double loss.

How my games have normally gone against dishonor.
T1: 2 holdings T2: Guy for full, 2 holdings. T3: Peak at 14-15 honor, buy 1 more guy full, 2 guys cheap. T4: Squish a province. Lose 4-7 honor. Buy one guy full, two guys cheap. T5: Swing again. Remove presence as quickly as possible to limit potential losses.
At this point, only go in for the kill. Dishonor is a near auto-win for Lion paragons. Controlling their presence is essential. Right now, Dishonor decks cannot afford to all in a defense because it ends the game if they lose the battle. It can result in either a large honor gain or a mass-rehonor, but even one personality at resolution gives the re-honor. Prioritize kill and send-home. Bow doesn't do much. Grateful Reward to re-honor after assignment as it shuts off many actions. Watch your opponent when you declare it. It can tell you if it mattered. Assigning one dishonorable can shift their defending assignment, then rendering your army 100% free of dishonored personalities before they get to take an action can seal the game.
Paragons can't expect honor out against dishonor, but they really shouldn't be close to losing.

I have Cast aside the weak in this honor runner, would that be considered tainted in a Kotei? Sorry if its a dumb question, never cared when I was playing Nezumi.

Sorry if its a dumb question, never cared when I was playing Nezumi. hasn't made any difference since last you played. unless you're making purity choices for personal reasons just play it. deck purity hasn't mattered in years.

In the current enviroment I do not think there is any possible way to Honour out against a solid Dis Honour deck, and you will have to go to battle.
I basically do what Domotai's says when I was playing my Ancestor Deck, and I did not Seppuku my Akai's untill I had enough Ancestors to crush provinces evey turn. I think I ended game at like -16 Honour?
And on the flip side against every Honour deck I have played against, if they did not attack me they would have no chance at all at beating me in 45mins.
