I bring to you the tidings of my master, via the finest camels lent to us by Crazy Hassan. Read the following message and know that you are invited to participate in the tale of the Burning Jewel.

I am informed you are a valued ally to our faction, and your services are called upon.

The Burning Jewel

I tell my tale and my tale is true, as true as any tale that has ever been told. This tale takes place in the great hub of the world, the centerpiece to all around it, Medinaat al-Salaam, in the beginning of Spring in the Great Year of 1176, the month of Rabi al-Awwal.

Civil Strife has plagued the city for months as old enemies resolve their disputes in the side alleys and back rooms of the Jewel of the Desert. Four factions vie with themselves in an attempt to achieve internal supremacy. The Great Dahabi Houses, wealthy beyond measure, squander their wealth on bribery and mercenaries as the Menjari Alliance, Basiri Alliance, and Hazaad Alliance all try to come out on top to rule the Merchant Houses, and the economy of the City by the River. The feared Assassins, divided for decades by internal politics, have finally begun to strike. Blood fills the streets as decade old blood oaths are fulfilled and a struggle for the soul of the Assassins plays out in the open. Finally, wrapped in shadow and rumor, a mystery only whispered of as the Qolat moves in the background, pulling the strings of the visible wars as they conduct their own battle for supremacy. At the center of the whole mess stands the man known as Haroun al-Alamut. Atop a pile of corpses he seeks to rise higher and higher into the air, to conquer all that is before him and rule it with an iron fist.

The fourth war is that of the despicable Jackals. Necromancers, murderers, thieves, they are the scum of the City, the worst that humanity has to offer. But even scum has worth to someone, and so they battle in their own world, intent upon their own victory. But that is a tale for another time. This is the tale of the Burning Jewel; so strap your sword to your hip, kiss your loved ones tenderly, and make a prayer to Shilah, for it is time to kill your Brother.

- Set in the Burning Sands in the year 1176, part of an ongoing chronicle.

- Slight canon change in that Kali-Ma survived the Destroyer War and Daigotsu is not the undisputed Lord of Jigoku, thus the Second Festering Pit was never opened.

- Rokugani slots are very limited.

- Registration opens August 20th.

Is this play by post? Do you have to have dice for this?

It is a play by post game, and we'll be using Invisible Castle in the place of dice.
