Hmmm.... so Hachiro found the grave of Sun Tao which turned out to be a sort of portal? Weird, but I'm sure as long as we don't get shafted for the choice, the Kitsu will be able to set up a temple there.

Also, I guess we lost Akodo Makotai already. I guess we will see if this bites us badly or not in terms of the temple we found.

From reading the fic, i did not get the impression we lost makotai. Just the opposote in fact. "He" seemed to pull it together.

I thought that the tomb and the portal were two separate events? It may be that Hachiro just had a "moment" when he finally heard, or chose to hear, his ancestors and came to a realisation with the consequences of his conduct when faced with the spirit of the great General?

I agree makotai seemed fine, I'm curious as to the other ikoma who also mentioned mirotai, makotai's soul of.
