Personally I like this deck out of GP better.

You need a reliable recon action to get majority of the cards abilities to go off. Also Tsuruchi house guard only attaches to mantis personalities.. I know you have 3 but it's not worth it

scouting the pass in for burn the towers I presume? No disrupting? Has this been tested much with how stable it is with terrains and recons? Who needs that much protection from Ryoshun's?

I've not precisely tested this yet; the balance of Terrains, Recons (both Fate and Dynasty side) and other actions seems about right, especially with Uehara and Seeking the Truth in there.

I think Deep Snows should be put here. Hard pressed may be the weakest terrain (you may found youself unopposed and sending a needed unit home).
Ikoma House Guard gives you a Melee (almost a Ranged) and it's more reliable than running Tsuruchi's.
The new Crane scout that bows cards may be a good idea if you run Burning, Seeking and the new recon (+TGP if choosed)

Ikoma House Guard is a waste of space - nothing in the deck boosts Melee Attacks, whereas it's full of boosts for Ranged Attacks. The Tsuruchi House Guard is probably equally silly, given there's only three people it can attach to, but once in play it works much better with the rest of the deck.

I suggest you may now put a new sneak-recon from Mantis preview if you want to change burn the towers and I agree that Tsuruchi House Guard is waste of space in the fate deck unless another non uniq scout for Lion in Mantis appears..

Why not include the new rare strategy from EOW called "Precision" :
Reaction: After a Melee or Ranged Attack is targeted: Give it +2 or -2 strength.
Battle: Ranged 3 Attack.

"3x Sniping
3x Precision (not Siege Volley!)
3x No Hiding Place"

...You might find that this puts too much pressure on your hand (you'll get through it faster). Can I suggest dropping two of these to a 2-of in favour of a more pro-active battle action? Restoring Order might be a start eh?

How about something like this for a modified Fate deck?

Fate - 40
Terrains:
3x Hard Pressed
3x Heart of Darkness
3x Thick Marsh
2x The Killing Grounds
2x Ancient Feud

Recons:
2x Burn the Towers
3x Seeking the Truth (recurring cards is good and you have have qalyar, AF, and RoE for province strength manipulation)

Other Strategies:
3x Precision
3x Siege Volley (note: more kill now)
3x Strategic Strike
3x Brothers in Battle (note: more kill now)
3x Well Prepared
2x Sniping
2x No Hiding Place
1x Creating (not Restoring - silly me) Order

Rings:
1x Ring of Water
1x Ring of Earth

I think he actually means Creating order.

I have a similar build out of GP dropped some terrains for more proactive battle actions though.
