Man, that's just sad.. Seriously, did the guy that won that prize piss in Bryan Reese's tea or something? No keyword support + lack-luster stats + weak ability = Terrible.

Well we haven't got our fourth theme yet so maybe it will be an artisan theme and this card will do something for us. Still even ignoring the fact that its kasei and looking at it as a seperate card I wouldn't probobly run it. I really hate the +F while attacking especially when it doesn't actually let you take a province solo. The ability also is pretty situational. If it could be used while bowed if you are the defender that would be something else.

Quote: Stop looking at the "Kasei" at the top of the card and making comparisons to the basic. This is a new card, entirely separate from the basic. Pretend his name is Matsu McBeardypants and evaluate the card then. 6g for 6f and a no-cost no-restriction send home is decent (let's be serious, except the turn you buy him, he'll probably be bowed during every opponent's turn from resolution anyway). that's why i said at least he's not a coaster like shinichi. i see this guy slotting into decks early in the arc and getting cut quickly as new expansions release.

"Experienced Matsu Kasei" just makes me sad. And Angry. I think he may commit seppuku to cleanse the name of Kasei in order to allow some future badass to take it and continue harpooning peeps.

I agree with the common sentiment regarding the lameness of the card... kasei deserved better.
on the other hand this makes me feel a whole lot better about how much the XP version of utaku jin lao SuUCKs!

I have nothing more to add that hasn't already been mentioned in this thread. Just a horrible personality all around, especially for a unique slot and costing 8 gold. He reminds me of Fumiyo basic in that she was poor on the defense though she is still more useful then Kasei exp since you'd be only sending home your own personality.

Wow at the start of last ARC only keyword I looked for was Samurai. I would have slot this Kasei in my deck in a heartbeat. Yes he not as good as base Kasei but if you ask any other clan who they would want gone it would be Kasei (base). He was that stupid good that he makes every lion deck. He so hated that he is my carrot for open kill or 1st battle action. Look how long it took to give Fumiyo key words and she really only good in a Paragon deck?
