I go on the attack against dishonor. Your honor should float around 10-20 while you kill all their defenders or take their provinces. If they don't concede in that board position, I take the double loss.

I've had problems with not getting Tamasine early and once the dishonor player can dishonor all/most of my viable attackers its hard to take provinces even with Tamasine.

You won't need Tamasine's action before your 5th turn. Assembly an army of ancestors of at least 4 ancestors (better 6).

I see a bigger probably in honor decks running the den...

@Barto: Could you please list the honor decks you've lost against?

You only need two ancestors to threaten the province with Tamasine against dishonor. If they get in front of you, you kill their guys. Otherwise you take the province. Either way, you come out ahead.
The Phoenix version can be found here: http://www.thephoenixclan.com/index.php ... &Itemid=41
The honor deck is very blitzy, and can be run out of Dragon, Phoenix, or Crane (worst of the 3).

Ok, depends on the dishonor deck. But against a Shiro Chugo build I'd rather attack with 4 or more ancestors.

Due to some reasons I don't understand, direct links don't work on the Phoenix board. Could you please give the thread name?

So it comes down to Winds of Dismissal. I'm wondering whether i should run Broken Alliance over Duel of Serpents (never was that much benefit to me). Btw. I'm still talking about pre-EOW (I'll play at Prague next week).

Disgrace and 2x Broken Alliance should be enough if your deck is fast.

unimpeachable name needs to be considered in any HoM deck now that Den of Iniquity is legal.

Unimpeachable Name is a staple for me.

I can add a little insight to this discussion:

For the DC Kotei I ran ancestor honor with Courtiers

My Courtiers were:
Doji Dainagon x2
Miya Masatsuko x1
Otomo Demiyah x2

as far as courtier actions I ran
Rhetoric x3
Remeber Your Anscestors x3

I ran 2 Pearl Of Embers and would put one on Doji Dainagon when possible.

My thoughts:
Otomo Demiyah, while nice to get that extra 1 honor durring dynasty usually just didn't do much for me once I got her in play, she could use Remember fine, but was generally worthless for Rhetoric
Miya Masatsuko, was useful when I got her out, but with only one in the deck it only happened in one game.
Doji Demiyah performed as expected. With a pearl attached she gave me some Favor manipulation, which would have been better if Masatsuko was in play, while giving me a courtier that was useful for Rhetoric.

Rhetoric: I never really found it to be too usefull, either becasue I faced decks that were not gaining honor, or had them but only Demiyah in play who was to low of chi to steal the honor. Though it was funny in a match against Dragon Honor, where we kept Rhetoric'ing each others rhetoric.

Remember Your anscestors: Was useful in most games, did nothing against decks that were not attacking.... but that is a given, late game it was a kill card as people wouldn't want me to gain 3 honor. most offten though I was gaining the honor and making them discard a card. Really good against Phenoix Enlightenment, as they were usually going to battle with only a few cards left in hand most offten the ring they were trying to play in battle.

Throughout the tournament I was having problems with turns gaining honor durring dynasty. At least once each round I hit a all holding, or only holding courtier dynasty draw. I also only got Demiyah and Masatsuko both out once, when it happened it was great for keeping a full hand, but it only happened once.

I really didn't do well at the tournament, but it was offten due to my own play mistakes.

Afterwards I took both Otomo Demiyah out of the deck and put another Miya Masatsuko in. I found it to be enough courtiers with only the 4 and made it easyer to get both Dainagon and Masatsuko both into play.

With the new set out, I am planning to drop the courtiers entirerly. They just havn't done enough for me, as I find what I really need is a slightly better option to be able to attack occasionally.
